You have realized that phonology and morphology are interconnected. Nonetheless, this relation is not always in the same direction. That is the reason why sometimes morphology affects phonology and vice versa, and at times they may even overlap.
To sum up, the morphological structure of complex words determines how certain morphemes are realized phonetically, at the same time, the phonological structure of complex words could reflect its morphological structure.
